More about me

I am a partially self-taught photographer with a deep passion for nature and wildlife. With my family, I live in a rather small village at the foot of the Black Forest, not far from the French border. The village is surrounded by forests and fruit fields. To find birds in their natural habitat, I often venture into the surrounding woods and meadows. I have always been interested in taking photos and short films. However, My journey into photography began as a hobby when I was 16 years old, trying out my father`s camera but it quickly evolved into a lifelong pursuit of capturing the beauty and essence of the natural world. Since then, I have been out with my camera almost every day, exploring the outdoors and seeking out unique moments to capture. I find joy in the process of waiting patiently for the perfect shot, inspiration in the intricate details of flora, fauna and play of light and shadow, and the ever-changing landscapes that surround us. Through my lens, I strive to share the wonders of nature with others and to evoke a sense of awe and appreciation for the environment we all call home. Since I`ve started, I have had plenty of opportunities to show my work. I quickly learned various Adobe programs and began to create posters for my local theatre club. I`ve helped out friends, family and neighbours with their photography needs, from events to family portraits. I have even been able to shoot for a politichan living in my village. I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to share my passion with others and to connect with fellow photographers and nature enthusiasts.

A big thank you to everyone who has supported my journey and continues to inspire my work, as well as for your time reading through my website!

Best regards,
Paul Burmester
